As a frequent reader of financial independence blogs, I’ve noticed writers losing hope since the hype surrounding the artificial intelligence revolution, particularly with Microsoft’s new product ChatGPT. Many respected bloggers and storytellers have complained about declining traffic to their blogs.
It is true that AI has changed the way we create and consume content, and this includes blogs. No matter what, I do not believe AI can fully take over the blogging revolution.

How AI works?
I won’t get into the details, but I’ll simplify things so you can understand.
Artificial intelligence uses computer algorithms to analyze data, learn from it, and apply that knowledge to make predictions or take actions.
That program has the ability to process a lot of data. Images, text, sensor readings, financial data, and other types of information can all be included in this data. It is trained to label any dataset. For instance, there is a 95% likelihood that it will recognize a cat in an image if you show it one, and so on.
Lacks the human personal touch
This is one of the biggest problems that AI startups are now experiencing. There is no emotion in AI writing. For example, humans can teach using a variety of methods, such as by drawing to clarify concepts or telling jokes to keep the audience engaged.
At least for the time being, AI is unable to do this.
I predict that as AI develops, there will be a lot more automatically created blogs in the near future that lack any sense of personal experience. As of right now, it is limited to a session of questions and answers.
Limited knowledge and Bias problem
In my college years, when someone was doing research on a topic, Google would show them the top ten resources. There was no need to visit the second result page. That approach is no longer effective. These days, they provide you with what they want you to consume, paid for by large corporations.
Experiences vary from person to person. If using AI is necessary, there can’t be just one way to achieve something.
Books and Podcast will be around, at least for now
A few years ago, I worked for a reputable publishing house that stood its ground during the heyday of the eBook. We have witnessed other publishers go out of business, get bought out, or merge.
To say that we did not collectively feel any pressure would be an understatement. As workers began to depart, the CEO was compelled to convene a town meeting. He reassured everyone on the day of the event that the company was staying put. The long-term outlook appeared profitable, even though the balance sheet at the time showed otherwise.
As the town hall gathering came to a close, he said:
“No matter how much eBooks are marketed, paperbacks will continue to exist as long as it’s legal to produce them.”
Then, walk off the stage.
They continue to rank among the top publishers as of this moment.
He was correct, in my opinion. For as long as people desire to tell their stories, there are only two ways to record them: in a book or on a podcast.
Are human bloggers gone, and artificial intelligence is the new thing?
Nothing beats the satisfaction of making genuine connections with real people. I read ebooks on occasion, but not as frequently as I did when I left the city and used to take the train to work and home.
After some further reflection, I came to the conclusion that just as movies and television did not kill theaters, streaming did not kill radio, and therefore, I don’t expect AI to kill blogging.
I’ll keep blogging and documenting my journey in order to leave my kids with a legacy.
