I so want to scream, “debt-free,” but the government is playing with my patience. Regardless, I am happy to wait for the Supreme Court and the POTUS to make up their minds. As an optimistic person, I’m sure they will soon come to a mutual agreement and forgive my federal student loan.
According to Credit Karma, the average Millennial has $47,349 in total debt. Therefore, if you fall below the average, you are making excellent achievements.
Financial Goals
Credit Cards and Loans: I’m now using less than 1% of my credit limit, as per Credit Karma. By next month, I won’t have any balance on my credit cards. Yay! I can already feel the burden of debt lifting from my shoulders. It’s been a long ride.
Savings: I used the income from my second job, at The Home Depot, to pay off my consumer debts. Now that I’m close to paying it off and waiting on the government to come up with a decision, I will increase my contribution to the account for the house down payment.
Personal Goals
Learn about search engine optimization (SEO) and copywriting. Working from home has one clear advantage: You can concentrate on some of your personal projects without distractions. Who needs to take classes when you can repeatedly watch great content on YouTube?
Increase my social media presence. I mostly use twitter to see what my peers are doing, but without engaging in conversation, it does me no good. I know I’m capable of more.
Happy holidays to all!
