I can’t say everything is okay, but I also don’t like to complain about things I can’t control. Still, with so much happening, it’s hard not to overthink, especially with the rapid changes in this administration and the situation in my hometown, Haiti.
The days of casual phone calls just to chat about anything are over. Now, whenever my phone rings, the first thought that crosses my mind is: Are my people safe? Despite it all, I remain optimistic. I believe that one day, things will be okay; nothing bad lasts forever.
Financially, it was a great month. When I say I’m on a money diet, I mean it; if it’s not a necessity, I don’t just walk away; I run.
Feels good to be back on track.
