Hey, how’s everyone doing?
It has been a year already since we purchased our first property. Can you believe that?
Time passes by so quickly.
During our house hunt, I recall my mother saying to me, “If you can handle the first year, you should be able to handle the remainder of the loan.” Having owned a home for 25 years, I want to believe her, even if I can’t foretell the future. I hope she’s right—I truly do.
Since the kids are no longer in school, we are searching for things for them to do. TGFGjr’s soccer camp is officially over. This new soccer session has not truly challenged him as I had anticipated, in contrast to his football camp days.
All that matters is that he had a great time. I’m okay with that.
On the other hand, my daughter seems to have an endless summer schedule in addition to future plans for her hobby of dancing. Who’s going to tell her?
Anyway, here’s my monthly report.
Table of Contents

Dividends for June 2024
In June 2024, I received $65.20 in dividend income from twelve different companies. For the first time ever, I had a decrease in dividends when compared to the previous year, June 2023. This time, for companies like Coca-Cola and VT, dividend payments were not included but will be disbursed for the month of July.
So not much to worry here. Compound interest is still doing magic.
Months | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
Div Income | $37.46 | $38.92 | $91.36 | $45.49 | $39.72 | $65.20 |
June 2024 Summary
I pulled away from the spending spree, and with good reason. As a precautionary step, I would like to have the roof on the house replaced. I therefore want to think that I have all the gardening supplies I need and that I have enough work to do on my car-related problems.
It has been excellent overall. I look forward to seeing what the month of July has in store. Knowing that I will be able to see magnificent scenery has already made me eager. When I return, I’ll give you the full scoop.
How has your month been? What are some kids activities you would recommend?
