Some Compelling Reasons to Switch to an Electric Head Shaver Today if You’re Bald Like Me.

When I started losing my hair in my twenties, I had high hopes that it would grow back. I blamed everything, from the shampoo I used to wearing a cap everywhere I went. Eventually, I accepted my fate and decided to shave it all off and stick with that look.

Here’s why I chose to go with the portable head shaver and stopped using the following:

Razors

Razors will set your head on fire the next day. On television, you often see commercials about razors. The ladies are shaving their legs, and the fellows are shaving their beards. Before going bald, I’ve seen family members use razors to shave their heads bald, with great results. Their heads get shiny like a bowling ball.

So why not try? Bad idea.

The part they don’t tell you is that once these cut-open pores start healing, you get that irresistible urge to scratch your head. Only a water fountain or anything fresh you can put on your head will be your best friend. Then I switched to shaving powder.

Shaving Powder

Shaving powder can be too messy. The Magic shaving powder product is the most popular one used amongst the bald-head community. Even at the barbershop, I doubt it has changed. Maybe they’re using foam now. I wouldn’t know—it’s been years since I last sat in a barber chair.

Regardless, shaving powder is high-maintenance. You need to be precise when mixing the powder and water. If you add too much water, it will run down your head before you think of catching it. If there’s not enough water, by the time you finish applying it, it will start to dry.

Unlike the razor, you don’t get razor burns, and you cannot do it on the go. Not because of how messy it can be, but because the chemicals used can irritate your skin, the odor is very strong. If you’re looking for a clean shave, just do it before or while taking a shower.

Clippers

You can’t go wrong with clippers. Using clippers has been the only way for me to feel comfortable enough to do my hair two to three times a week and not worry about irritation. At least not as much as with the other methods. The balding clipper has served me well for the past decade.

Maintenance is quite easy. For example, every time you brush the blades to remove the hair, add some clipper oil and store it somewhere safe. Also, the blades need to be replaced yearly if you plan to keep them sharp. It can be longer, depending on use.

However, if you’re always on the move, don’t want to stay stationary to cut your hair, or are traveling, clippers are not the way to go. Many times I’ve brought them with me when traveling and been unable to use them. Either there was no available outlet or there wasn’t an ideal place to do it. They can also be on the heavy side.

Switching to an electric head shaver resolves these issues, offering convenience, ease of use, and portability, making it an ideal choice for maintaining a smooth, bald head.

Electric head shavers are a game changer. I got a Freebird FlexSeries, and it has made life so easy that I can use it every day. On a full battery, it lasts for weeks before needing a recharge.

The best part about the head shaver is its perfect fit for any corner of your head, ensuring you won’t have to worry about getting any cuts. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and I haven’t experienced any signs of irritation.

It also keeps the cut hair contained, and it takes less than a minute to open the small storage compartment and empty it.

I can’t believe it took me this long to get one. It served me well while I was on vacation in Hawaii.

Don’t wait—save your scalp from the hassle. This is one of the best investments you can make, especially if you have a skin condition.
