“With Age Comes Wisdom” – Oscar Wilde

Did you know investing in quality can save you money? It’s not really that difficult

When being surrounded by stuff no longer bothers you, you’ve reached the wisdom stage. We used to claim as children that we were going to buy a big house with plenty of space for large gatherings, buy a pricey car, and exclusively wear name-brand clothing.

There is no issue there. Some people are successful in realizing their aspirations. However, if we choose to live within our means and make long-term investments on quality things, most people’s hopes won’t have to be crushed when reality sets in.

Health and Wellness

When you used to jam to songs that didn’t make sense at the time but now you know you’ve been warned, it’s fantastic. The other day, I was listening to “Angel” by Shaggy, one of my favorite reggae songs, and I realized how accurate he was:

Life is one big party when you’re still young
But who’s gonna have your back when it’s all done (Yeah)
It’s all good when you’re little, you have pure fun
Can’t be a fool, son, what about the long run?

– Shaggy

You are the most valuable possession you have. This is beyond question. If you haven’t already, it’s time to start making plans for how you want to live your life.

I am aware that for some people, eating just high-quality food may be challenging, but as you get older, I advise consuming as little as you can. If you make the decision to act sooner than later, you’re less likely to face the common diseases. I strongly think that you are what you eat. With the information age and some great exercise, it is simpler to comprehend how our bodies react to what we eat.

If you take care of yourself first, you won’t need to buy life insurance at ridiculous prices.

Personal Passions

I hear folks saying “I wish I had more time to do what I like but I have to work” on a regular basis. There’s twenty four hours in a day, seven days in a week and so on, you’re telling me you can find some time to accomplish what brings you joy?

Sorry, I don’t believe it.

If Warren Buffett, Elon Musk and the President can create time in their schedule to do what they like then why can’t you? The only thing separating you from them is your ability for managing time.

That being said, depending on your activities, some merely demand a few minutes of your time.

I set aside time for everything I want to do as a father, a photographer, a blogger, and someone who works a full-time job and part-time job. For instance, spending more time with the kids on weekends could mean spending less time on the computer. In good weather, I get up early to work on my cars, go for a walk, etc.

Although time will always exist, you must learn how to manage it. That’s the difference between you and them.

Investing in Quality Will Save You Money

As a photographer and art enthusiast, I always have my camera with me, therefore to me, the camera and I are one everywhere I go. I have a strong desire to freeze time so that I can look back on it afterwards. My true love is photography. I really enjoy creating images that have a story to them.

You can do the same. If there’s a hobby out there you think you can’t find time for then that’s not a hobby. You just don’t want it bad enough.

Vehicles

Purchasing a quality vehicle can offer a number of advantages and benefits, despite how expensive it can be to maintain one over time.

A dependable vehicle need not be expensive to buy. Two questions to ask oneself when searching for a car are: Can I pay for it? How long do I intend to keep it?

Despite the fact that I dislike American-made automobiles, I must acknowledge that they are becoming better. Nevertheless, if you enjoy working on cars, foreign cars are still the best and easiest to fix in my opinion.

The longevity of the car is greatly influenced by how you care for it and what parts you use. I can say from experience that since I started using premium gas, I hardly ever have to worry about engines related problems. The same is true for genuine parts; I hardly ever need to buy them over.

Bottom line

Avoid settling for inferior quality if you want to save money. Anything significant in life demands dedication and should be viewed as a long-term investment. Your health, personal interests and your vehicle are all too crucial to compromise on.
